Episode #4 includes guest Peter Berger of Alitora, an enterprise semantic company focusing on solutions for the pharmaceutical and bio-tech industries.
We really wanted to have someone onto the series who represents the “other” side of things i.e. the enterprise, because the B2C startups doing (admittedly cool) things in this space often get the lion’s share of the press, and perhaps unfairly. The result, we think, was a most excellent conversation, and a big thanks to Peter for coming on the show.
In this episode we talk not only about what Alitora does and the huge market opportunity in front of them, but also what consumer-oriented Semantic Web startups might learn from some of the enterprise players (the answer: plenty). We end by brainstorming the possibility of doing a podcast roundtable that would facilitate some of that dialogue, and if you have any ideas for who might be included and/or what we might discuss, please let us know in the comments.
